Security

W. Gomez CPA, LLC takes all appropriate measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of personal information. Some of the many best practices in place are listed below:

  • Any physical documents that have been obtained are kept in a secured and restricted place only for those individuals with a business reason to have access.

  • Physical documents are quickly disposed of securely or returned to the owner.

  • When transmitting client data by email using the Internet, the email and/or attachments containing client personal information is encrypted and password protected. 

  • When sending documents by mail, documents are sent via Certified Mail or by a carrier that will require a signature from the receiving party.

  • Computers are all password protected. All passwords are strong passwords that are changed often.

  • Computers and mobile devices are equipped with firewalls, up-to-date anti-virus software, current software security patches, and spyware.

 

Children

In order to respect the privacy of minors, W. Gomez CPA, LLC does not knowingly collect, maintain or process personal Information submitted online via our Internet Services by anyone under the age of 18.

California Privacy Rights

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California customers are entitled to request information relating to whether a business has disclosed personal information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. That notice will identify the categories of information shared and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses. These rights may include the right to: (i) request access to and rectification or erasure of their personal data; (ii) obtain restriction of processing or to object to processing of their personal data; and (iii) the right to data portability.
